Meet Mary

I have long been seeking and reaching out as my way of being on this life path. My search began with reading as much as I could about the discovery of anything and everything spiritual. I visited many churches in the area with no satisfactory outcome. Finally, I stepped out of the comfort zone and tried something different. I attended my first Quaker Meeting – quiet, contemplative prayerful sharing of time together, little dogma, deeply spiritual. And there, I found my place of connection and encountered the Light within myself and all others.

Meanwhile, my education and career started with a flop. Without much guidance or thought, it took many twists, turns, and dead ends. Eventually, I became drawn to something in which I had always found joy: language, creativity, stories, and writing. And so, in time I was led into a career that combined the love of creative adventure and the ease of writing. At midlife I also became a single adoptive mother of two infant daughters, and I returned to graduate school to become a pastoral counselor. All of my experiences came as gifts along my spiritual journey, have enriched each step, and have guided me to be more connected to my Creator Source, the Divine.

Today, I continue to seek, learn, write, teach, share, and invite people to discover their own spiritual path. The journey is brilliant with the Light of the Divine. It is also scary, exciting, and mysterious. But it cannot be ignored. It is ever present, and it is every day.
