The 23rd Psalm Speaks of Enemies, Oil, and Over filled Cups
Before I start this week's Blog, I want to thank so many of you for giving me feedback on the book cover design you like best. It has come down to a very close tie between the boat/sunset picture and the open orange sunset reflected in the water. Won't it be fun to see which one it is!?
There are so many choices coming soon: a matte or glossy cover, all color photos (and higher cost to the buyer) or black and white, what typeface, paper stock, book size and shape the book will take. All these exciting things are coming soon because the book is on track to be ready in late summer!
Meanwhile, I continue to find the Divine at my beach home in Delaware. I had a great time with a friend who came to the beach for three days of great "girl time" to help me look for furniture for a new house that's being built here. Then daughter Ruthie and her husband Bobin brought adorable two-month-old Ben for his first beach experience. I'm hoping my other daughter Joanna and her son Christian will make a visit here soon for sun and sand! Today was Chris's last day of 4th grade.
So it’s with a full heart that I turn back to the 23rd Psalm’s next messages:
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies. Thou anointest my head with oil: my cup runneth over.
Imagine the God of your understanding being a host to you -- providing a banquet for you as the honored guest. This can be done for you even if you have enemies present. This describes a giving and generous Divinity who gives so much, provides so much abundance, that you cannot even imagine or contain all the goodness that is available to you.
You will be given even more than your heart can possibly desire.
